About Us

Casalinga Espresso Café was first opened in December 2006 after being totally revamped from an Antique Shop.

In December 2007, current owners Ian & Justine Turnbull fell in love with the ambience and sanctuary feel, that they bought the business.

From the wooden polished floors and Stained Glass Windows through to the Magnificent Roman Pillars, Water Fountain and Mediterranean courtyard, the character building definitely lends the feeling of a sanctuary – a sharp contrast to the bustling Grey Street traffic outside.

The café focuses on providing the mature market an opportunity to dine and converse in tranquil surroundings. The contemporary menu features a good selection of well-balanced dishes along with superb coffee now supplied by local suppliers Absolutte Coffee to enhance the dining experience.

“There are very few cafés where you can enjoy good food and service whilst enjoying the company you are with. Our philosophy is to provide a dining experience where people can relax and enjoy the meal, rather than feel that you need to get out as soon as possible’ says Ian. “We are endeavoring to address those issues that we dislike when we go out to dine ourselves.”
